1 Fireplace 3 Ways

The wonderful part about decorating a home is that there isn't only one way to do it, there are a million different ways to decorate! We took one fireplace and styled it 3 different ways to share just a few different directions one simple space can go.

Fireplace Interior Design - Neutral & Sophisticated

#1. Neutral & Sophisticated

A statement mirror is a great place to start when decorating a mantel. An interesting texture, fun color, or unique shape will make a mirror a great statement piece. Since the mirror is the focal point, keep the other decor simple with just a few items. Here we added a few hardcover books with a unique set of bookends and a decorative box on the opposite side. The fireplace is anchored by a soft, metallic ottoman and a floor plant. Overall, this fireplace gives a sophisticated vibe and neutral to pair with any living room's color scheme.

Fireplace Interior Design - Colorful & Casual

#2. Colorful & Casual

This is the ultimate layered look. Start with a large, colorful piece of artwork, layered with a smaller piece of artwork, and then layered with books, decor and greenery to finish off the mantel. Anchor the fireplace with a basket of textiles and a ladder to add height. Try this look with fun, patterned books and colorful throw blankets for a bold look.

Fireplace Interior Design - Modern Farmhouse

#3. Modern Farmhouse

This look combines farmhouse and modern styles to create a fresh space that is very popular right now. Farmhouse details are brought in through the window paned mirror, industrial lighting, metal planter, and vintage trunks. Modern details are brought in with the simplicity of the decor and taking advantage of the negative space by leaving the mantel shelf empty. A big tip for this look is to remember quality is better than quantity when it comes to decor.
