How To's Easy Goer Lane 06/02/2021 Share We're excited to share a recent project we can all relate to these days...the home office! Now more than ever, we want a comfortable and dedicated space in the home to function for work. Our clients at the Easy Goer project were no different. This room is located in the middle of the home on the main level and already had beautiful glass paned doors to separate it from the adjoining space. It's a high visibility room, so we wanted it to feel like an extension of the home with it's own personality. We started with a dark color on the built-in bookcases. The desk purposefully blends into the backdrop and allows the wall to serve as the focal point. We incorporated lots of lighter wood tones, brass, stone and woven textures into the bookshelf accessories to really pop off the black and create more visual interest. We left plenty of breathing room for our accessories to keep them from feeling too busy or cluttered. The sofa has a streamlined shape, which feels appropriate for an office and we added a floor lamp with modern lines for an additional level of lighting to the room. When you see the back of a chair as you enter the room, you really want to make it a MOMENT! The light leather is a stunning contrast to the darker desk and shelving and the big buckle straps are a real statement in this space. The brass accents scattered across the room are stunning against the black. The family now has a dedicated space to work productively during the day and feels like a cohesive part of the home overall.
