5 Ideas to Decorate a Small Wall

Do you have a blank wall that isn't getting the attention it deserves? We aren't talking about huge walls either.....today we are specifically talking about SMALL walls that can't fit large bookshelves, gallery walls, sideboards, dressers or sofas. We curated 5 different ideas to decorate a small wall that are unique, layered and will give you a designer look. So before you decide to fill your blank wall with yet another boring picture frame, consider one of these awesome ideas that are sure to turn your wall into a showstopper!

Idea #1: Chair + Clock

This idea is simple yet functional. Round clocks are perfect for a small wall but we suggest taking it one step further by adding a chair underneath. This will help give your wall some dimension and provide an anchor to add visual weight to the wall. This is a great idea if you need more seating when entertaining because the chair can easily be moved around the house but always have a designated place along a wall when you don't have guests.

Idea #2: Mirror + Plant

Floor mirrors aren't just for a bedroom or closet! Consider adding one along that small wall in your entryway, at the end of a hallway to brighten it up or in your dining or living room to reflect a beautiful chandelier and bounce light around the room. Finish it off with medium-sized floor plant for another layer.

Idea #3: Stool + Art

Do you love gallery walls but don't have enough room? This is the option for you! Consider a vertical gallery wall with just a few pieces. We love to anchor it with an ottoman or stool. Be sure to mount your largest frame/art at the bottom and your smallest at the top. This could be done with matching frames for a modern look or mismatched for a more eclectic look.

Idea #4: Bench + Sconce

Benches are a go-to accent piece for us at SwatchPop! Short benches are great for small walls because they aren't visually heavy and provide seating which is a big bonus. Install a hardwired wall sconce above for a sleek, clean look or you could switch it out for a mirror or piece of art!

Idea #5: Oversized Art + Pouf

Small walls don't necessarily mean small decor. Thing big and fill the space with an oversized piece of art. Make it a statement wall, especially if the wall is in your entryway or hallway because it will give your eye something to instantly focus on. Layer it with a small ottoman, stool or pouf for a collected look.
